20th August 2011

Wind Stength: F2-3
Surf / Sea State: flat
Air Temperature: warm
Sea Temperature: warm
Weather: warm
Max Speed: cant find
Distance Covered: 9 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Text with Colsey confirmed 13kts southerly at the manor - game on at 1.00pm. Met up with Pete G Andy M and Nick later.
The manor was perfect sea and DC shot off on 12M x Formula whilst Pete Andy and me saddled Phantoms with 9.5 tushy's. The wind was easing from the 13kts as we set of for the run to the dip. I really hate running. DC was flying on his downwind reach, grinning and shouting insults, Pete head out to sea, whilst Andy M did a Roger a set off on a dead run hugging the coast line, whilst i stayed in the middle. Pete G lost shed loads of ground and Andy M was falling behind, whilst Colsey was at the fludyers.
Yet again I refused to do a true run and Andy M, took out both me and Pete in an excellent piece of run sailing beating us all to the dip when he was well behind. Thats the first time he has stepped on his phantom!! very good!
Pete G decide to land for some tweaking but DC me and Andy M tacked straight up for the beat back.
The wind was very light at the dip, prob 8kts. Andy M again hugged the coast line tacking, whilst I stayed out but DC was in the pooh, as even the 12M and 70cm fin cant take 6kts!
My lead was now cast iron as Colsey was trapped near the pier :) :) :) and Andy M had to put a tack in! Pete G was lost in a windless hole, but over took DC who was now pissed oft!
Thats it, the best way to beat DC is to take him where there is no **ucking wind :):):)
Nick played round the manor as there was some wind there. Not a great wind day but excellent practice with good sailors and burned a few calories.
In my haste to get to the spa for a steam, I left my glasses on the board bag, driving all the way back to Ipswich!!
Lucky thing the the neck cord snagged on the board bag, dangling all the way back..very very lucky boy!!
